We are pleased to inform you about the updated 2025 contribution limits for 401(k) plans. These changes are designed to help you maximize your retirement savings and take full advantage of the benefits offered by your 401(k).
For the year 2025, the regular 401(k) deferral limit has increased to $23,500. Participants who are aged 50 years and above are eligible to make an additional catch-up contribution of $7,500.
Furthermore, there is a new special catch-up contribution for employees who are turning ages 60 – 63 years within the year. This special catch-up contribution increases the standard $7,500 catch-up to $11,250. This enhancement is part of the SECURE 2.0 Act, which aims to provide greater flexibility and opportunities for older employees to boost their retirement savings.
Please review your contributions and adjust them to maximize the new limits.
